Neelam's entrepreneurial spirit emerged early on. She started her first business importing tea and distributing it locally. Yet her artistic side was equally strong, constantly creating with pencils, paint, and anything else she could find. Despite being told there was "no future in art," Neelam persisted.

After pursuing a degree in business and accounting and working in the corporate world, Neelam realized her true passion lay elsewhere. She began expressing her artistry through henna, initially at local events and later through various creative endeavors.

In 2012, fueled by her passion and vision, Neelam opened the first Henna Shoppe near the ASU campus. Starting as a small space barely larger than her pop-up tent, it quickly grew into something much more significant.
